Join Medical Students for a Sustainable Future as we host medical trainees for the first annual climate health equity day. It will be a chance to connect with peers and colleagues, learn about initiatives at other schools, and discuss climate, health, and equity topics. 

If you're joining us in person, please register by January 26th, 2024. Virtual registration to remain open until the event.

Listen to hear about how physicians across specialties incorporate climate work into their careers. 

Research & Initiatives Symposium

Listen to oral presentations on research and initiatives followed by parallel in person and virtual poster presentation sessions. Find the booklet to learn more about each session here. 

Keynote Speaker: Jerome Foster II

3:45pm-4:30pm

We are excited to welcome Jerome Foster II. Jerome is an environmental justice activist, the youngest member of the White House Advisor in U.S. History, and the Co-founder & Co-Executive Director of Waic Up. He served as intern for the late Honorable John Lewis at 16 and served as Board Member for the DC State Board of Education's High School Graduation Requirements Task Force at 14. He is Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director at Waic Up which is an international communication to community impact charity which is an expansion of OneMillionOfUs, which mobilized a movement of young people to vote in the 2020 Elections. In March of 2021, he made history when he was appointed to the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council as the youngest-ever White House Advisor at 18, becoming the first and only GenZ Advisor to the White House.
